The school of flying fish is animated through a boids and flocking simulation (C#) in Unity. As the fish pass through the water blocks in the air or ocean below, their wing fins transition from gliding wings to streamlined for the water fins.

Stranded: Above and Below

From a digital workspace to a land of imagination, a digital artist creates a relaxing world to escape the lonely and stranded feelings of social isolation. Created in Unity 3D, the animation, Stranded: Above and Below, is a real-time exploration of shader art, simulation, and procedurally generative techniques. It takes inspiration from the relaxing and satisfying animations of lofi music compilations on YouTube. It is a tribute to my own digital workspace, lovingly modeled in Blender and Houdini, that made all my projects in the Digital Futures program at OCAD University possible.
