WIP for Ubisoft NEXT Technical Art 2022. Unfortunately, I was not able to finish the scene for the submission deadline, but I decided to pick it up again recently to polish and finish it up. The goal of the project was to create procedural asset tools in Houdini that I could bring into Unreal to quickly create environment prop variations and to easily iterate and alter the structure of the attic. Visually, I aim to transition different elements into normal and "creepy" states (Dressform and Vintage Sewing Posters) of the scene as the light flickers and fades in and out. So far I have most of the environment and props done, so I am currently working on my main hero props, the Dressform and 1892 Hand Cranked Singer Sewing Machine. Quixel textures were used for the brick walls and chimney and the tarp. More technical texture breakdowns for Substance Designer assets to come.
